Frequently Asked Questions
The latest you can place an order with us is 14 DAYS BEFORE YOUR DELIVERY DATE. We highly recommend giving you + your helpers more of a buffer (most of our couples place their order 3-4 months in advance), but we realize plans change and vendors shit the bed. If you are two weeks out from your wedding dry-heaving over the thought of carrying Walmart flowers down the aisle, we can help!
Please note that last-minute orders less than the 30-day mark are generally more susceptible to flower substitutions. It's wise to give yourself as much time as possible to order, watch tutorials, ready your prep station, stock up on wine, etc.
If you miss the deadline and place your order with the incorrect dates, a $79 expedited order fee will be applied. Failure to pay this fee will result in your order being canceled. There are no exceptions.
Please email [email protected] if you have any questions!
It's easier than figuring out if your parents can access your photo roll on a shared family account via the cloud. (BUT SERIOUSLY, CAN THEY?!??!)

THAT'S IT. Now you're ready to get organized so you know exactly what to expect and how to receive your flowers with jazz hands.
Hunny, not only will they last. They will give everyone whiplash like the girl who takes her glasses off and suddenly becomes hot for prom. (Why was this a plausible movie theme?)
We are here to set you up for success with your DIY flowers, so we wouldn't recommend this timeline if it didn't twerk. As professional wedding/event florists ourselves, we operate on the same timing we suggest to you.
Follow the care and prep guidelines and your flowers will go from a little mousy on Day 1 to extroverted AF by Day 3.
Remember: The goal here isn't to get your flowers to last for two weeks. You want them to bloom out large and in charge so they look their best on the day of your wedding. As weird as it is, flowers look their very best right before they die.
Three is your magic number.
Three days before your wedding day.
Three days before your besties lift your dress so you can #1.
Three days before you pelvic thrust to Toxic.
So, for a Saturday wedding, you will want your flowers delivered on that Wednesday. This gives you plenty of time to hydrate, prep, and build out your arrangements.
Example schedule:
- DAY 1 (WEDNESDAY): Prep your flowers. Give everything a fresh cut, space it out in hydration buckets, give it time to hydrate/open.
- DAY 2 (THURSDAY): Start building! Knock out the arrangements that can be easily hydrated in vases, like bridesmaid bouquets and centerpieces.
- DAY 3 (FRIDAY): Build your bridal bouquet, bouts, corsages, flower crowns, and anything else you have left. *We like to build the bridal bouquet on day 3 because those flowers are wide open at this point!
A little secret: Flowers look their best right before they peak. The goal is not to make them last 2 weeks, but to have them look large and in charge on the day of your wedding.
We guarantee 95% swoon-worthy blooms aka love at first petal aka vivid fantasies about opening your own flower shop in the south of France.
What about the other 5%? Even florists lose a few blooms during the shipping process. It's normal and unavoidable, like getting an uggo Granny Smith in an otherwise immaculate bunch.
What if I receive some whack flowers? We will re-ship the flowers at no extra cost to you OR refund your money for the damaged flowers. In the rare case that you receive less-than-lovely flowers, send us 2-3 photos within 24 hours of receipt. This is for major issues ("my peony looks like it was in a mosh pit"), not natural imperfections.
REPORT ANY ISSUES VIA OUR FLOWER SOS FORM WITHIN 24 HOURS OF RECEIPT.
Gah! My flowers are the wrong color! If you order light pink roses and receive Lisa Frank magenta roses, we will replace the flowers via overnight shipping OR refund the cost. Remember that slight color variations, streaks, or small spots are normal. Mother Nature does what she wants, so we cannot guarantee exact color tone matches.
Looks like I'm missing flowers? Before you sound the SOS alarm, double check all of your packing. 80% of the time, the more delicate flowers are hiding away. If you're still coming up short, contact Flower Moxie ASAP and any missing items will be shipped at no extra cost.
Will some of my flowers substituted? Only as an absolutely last resort. We do not ship janky flowers. So if one of your items is inexplicably wilted or held up in customs because of a friggen hurricane, we will make reasonable substitutes to do you right. All substitutes are carefully based on color palette, size, and price. We will give you as much notice as possible, but sometimes we are only made aware of flower availability the week or day of your delivery.
Remember that flowers are perishable, time-sensitive beings. Flower Moxie is not responsible for damages resulting from inclement weather or freezing temperatures due to an extended absence on behalf of the customer. Flower Moxie is further released from responsibility due to delays on behalf of the shipping companies or acts of God. Complaints must be submitted within 24 hours of receiving the flowers and accompanied by photos. We will gladly work with you to solve any concerns!
This is not like that time you ordered a gown from Wish and ended up with a belly shirt. We are not here to disappoint, mislead, scam, or hide behind policies that only work in our favor.
Because we sell time-sensitive, perishable fresh flowers, all complaints need to be submitted within the first 24 hours of receipt so we can jump on a solution. We will gladly replace a sad flower or issue a full or partial refund depending on your specific situation.
Here are our terms and conditions if an issue arises:
- Product Issue: You must reach out within 24 hours of receiving your flowers. Fill out our Flower SOS form and upload pictures. Send 1-2 close-up pictures and 1-2 pics of the bunch(es) as a whole - make sure you have good lighting! We will not issue a refund or replacement without pictures or if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of delivery. We also cannot issue a refund or replacement if you throw away your flowers without Flower Moxie's authorization to do so.
- Color Variation: We will not issue a refund or replacement for slight color variations. Momma Nature is an inconsistent being.
- Size Variation: Bloom sizes change throughout the growing season, so we cannot guarantee an exact size.
- Mishandled or Poorly Prepped Flowers: It is up to you to follow our care instructions and be a good flower mama/daddy. Each product page has specific care instructions, and it is your responsibility to educate yourself on how to care for your flowers. If you forget to put your flowers in water, introduce bleach/sugar/vinegar into the water, or smash/crowd delicate blooms in a deep bucket, we cannot be help responsible for a refund. Prep work is the most important part of successful DIY.
We HEAR you. And there is NO shame in being a curtain-twitcher while waiting on your flowers. It's exciting!
When shipping FedEx, we always roll with Overnight Priority, which typically means the flowers will be delivered:
- By noon in all major cities. POP DAT MID MORNING BUBBLY!
- Later on in the afternoon if you live in an area with more possums than people.
Unfortunately, we cannot control FedEx delays. And if they miss their promised deadline, they do not refund as they always claim "weather-related delays." Here's more info on FedEx's (sometimes bullshit) Delivery Time Explanations.
If your flowers are being shipped with Air Cargo instead of FedEx there can be a much broader delivery window. However, they are usually delivered much earlier than FedEx. With air cargo your shipment is taken to the airport cargo station in the morning and loaded onto a passenger plane. The shipment can typically arrive the very same day or late that night. Your flowers are held in a cool location – oftentimes a cooler – where they wait for you to pick it up the following day. While a delay is always possible it is very rare when shipping cargo, and often a non-issue due to the fact the flowers are kept in coolers rather than hot FedEx warehouses.
If you are concerned about waiting for your delivery or missing it entirely, you can have your flowers shipped to the nearest FedEx Station to hold for pickup.
